Proposal 2: Alchemist - Paulo Coelho

For our second reading, I suggest the book by Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist (written in 1988 - No. of Pages: 197)

As I remember, Void, you read the book in one vacation when you were sleeping in my room - Penrose 609...haha, right?

As for the initiate date and a target date, we will agree on them as we see our current discussion reaching an end, since I believe there are many topics which might branch out and would love to discuss them all.

The website is blocked at work due to the rubbish reason that blog are not allowed. People are stupid enough to just know that blogs are a waste of time at work, rather than reading a bit more and knowing there are numerous useful productivity blogs.

One vacation? One night you mean... Actually I'm not sure - my reading of the book felt as surreal as the book itself.

Its a nice read, but I don't quite see where a discussion of it would go? I guess there were some nice life principles woven in there...

My stand is: I don't mind, but I am also not looking for anything in particular with it.

I chose this book because it is light and meaningful, thus helping us to get used to more reading and discussion. Heavier material will come by time.

I will wait for the new members to join before adding any new material to the agenda. Let’s finish up with US Declaration of Independence discussions.

So, let us decide the Initial Date and Target Date for it, and once planned, we will plan for reading 1984 next.
My suggestion for the Initial Date (the day we start reading) is next week, September 23rd, so we would have time to borrow, buy or just download the book. As for the Target Date, I need from you guys how many days do you need to read it. Its around 200 pages that is smooth to read. I'm guessing 5 days?

I think I managed to get the full e-book. Unfortunately, it's only split in "Parts" and not Chapters. The last line of the book is "I'm coming, Fatima".

I don't have it myself so I can't tell you right off if that's the last line.
