I am reading a book by Gramci, an Italian Marxist philosopher, called "Prison Notebooks", I think I have uploaded it to the group's site, il check later,

anyhow, the book is very very interesting, and mainly talks about.... intellectuals. who are intellectuals, categorization of intellectual, their roles, their relationships with the party, the society, the community. it is a very difficult book, written in prison, am still half way through, whats interesting is that it was really written in prison, so Gramci could NOT use words as they are, he was not able to use the word "class" for example instead, he used "fundamental social group"... so on and so forth.

the book is important in case you think you are an intellectual, or in case you wanna know what your role should be in society.
