What is Lighthouse?
The Corner of Collaborative Growth, aka Lighthouse, is a place for individuals that eagerly want to learn more on different topics and subjects in our world. Subjects of interest include but are not limited to: politics, economics, technology, science, religion, philosophy, culture
and literature. Lighthouse is a special section of the Intellectual Sharing Body (ISB).

What do we do?
Our basic activity is simply reading in a collaborative manner. Afterwards, we engage in discussions and exchange views and ideas. We will engage and analyze the reading’s contents, its themes and any relevant information.

The reading material is divided into Articles, Books, or Topics and is chosen by all of its members. The place for discussion is in ISB forum; an online discussion board.

Why Lighthouse?
The collaboration and collective drive makes our experience more interesting and interactive. Every person can apprehend things differently and has a different perspective to offer, leading to a richer discussion, as long as each member agrees to work in harmony and respect. Together we will choose topics, encourage ourselves, and bring new ideas for discussion. After the reading and discussion we will reach conclusions on the individual and collective levels; the whole process will make us more intellectually active, more knowledgeable of subjects from both reading and discussion, and more aware of the world we live in.

How to join?
If you like the idea and would like to be part of it, you are most welcome. Just send me an email to isb.administration@gmail.com, and you will receive a reply shortly. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments, feel free to contact us.

How does it work?
First, a proposal in the Planning Section is created as a new topic. A small discussion is held to decide whether to go ahead with the proposed reading material. Once it is agreed, a reading date and a discussion date are set.

Reading Date: is the day that we start reading and concentrating on the new reading material.
Discussion Date: is the day that we are supposed to have finished the readings and start the discussion. The discussion will be started on the target date by the author or initiator of the topic/proposal.

Therefore, for every topic, we will start reading on the reading date, and the discussion on the discussion date. All reading material should be posted in the topic's proposal. There is no end time for any discussion, as one might come after a while to add a new point or some related article. Nevertheless, the activity of a subject might decline once other activity starts, since we will start concentrating on the new topic.
